The US economy have not been stable for some years. As Christians it is our duties to rely on our faith for the support we need to persevere. We know that the world that we live in is not perfect. For if the world were perfect there wouldn’t be such things as faith. Those of us who had the opportunity to make financial investments that produced dividends over the past few years may find it necessary to tap into those gains in order to continue paying the bills. Due to the record high numbers in lay-offs across the country we are experiencing significant interruptions in our household incomes. To the extent that it has become necessary to make great changes in our financial life style.
We have adjusted our attitudes and behaviors as a consumer to the extent that this adjustment has impacted the US economy significantly. Which in turn has produced a domino effect of financial deconstruction for corporations across the country. And all of this occurred within a short span of just a few years. If we receive nothing from this experience let us at least receive the education we are forced to assimilate as a result of this experience. If poverty makes men industrious then let us put this opportunity to some use. Obviously this is surely a time to rebuild and not necessarily in the same manner we have before. But this time a stronger and more durable economy that will out sustain a similar threat.
The thought of rebuilding our economy may seem an insurmountable task especially if viewing it from the perspective of an individual. But fear not. Remember our Christian faith and be sure to take our legacy into consideration. We have traversed harsher financial territories than this and we possess the goods to persevere and prevail in this undertaking. The time has truly arrived for us to show the world what strong stuff we are made of. And we will embrace this opportunity to achieve that.
We are prepared to pick up a pickaxe or a hammer if necessary and begin rebuilding with our bare hands because we know just how to do that. This rebuilding effort is going to take some sacrifice from each individual Christian. And if that means volunteering time or donating money we can do that too. For it is in our power to rebuild this economy the same way we helped to rebuild New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. Because we Christians embrace occasions that permit us to show the world what we can do.
